I would like to welcome all my students to the best middle school in TUSD and that is Casimir Middle School. I am energized to have you Cougars here in my class. My name is Mr. Asbury and I have been a teacher at Casimir Middle School since 1981.
I grew up in the South Bay area of Los Angeles County and attended elementary/junior high in Wiseburn School District and a graduate of Hawthorne High Cougars. I earned my B.A. and M.A. at California State University at Long Beach, "Go Niners", but my football allegiance is to the greatest football team in the US, the USC Trojan.
My tenure at Casimir began as a reading specialist/ELL instructor. After ten years at that position I changed to social studies and English. Since 1996 I have picked up third subject which has become a great enrichment class, computer technology. I have been able to develop and grow in this curricular area enjoying new technological tools and applications that would assist the students in their school experience. I am extremely please to be a part of the faculty and staff and I am looking forward to a great year.
