Wow, can you believe it...only nine more weeks of school! We are
moving right along with much in store for the rest of the year. I
will do my best to keep you posted.
April 21st - Report cards went home with students.
April 21st-25th - Earth Week, please join us this week and every
day in setting a good example of the three R's, "Reduce, Reuse, and
Recycle."
April 23rd - Happy Secretary's Day! Please join us in showing our
appreciation to our school Secretaries. Thank you Miss Sharon and
Miss Juanita!
April 25th - Operation Observation during both lunches, we invite
all parents to come and share lunch with their child. Meet their
friends and observe the life of middle school. Hope to see you
there.
April 25 is FLUNK THE BUDGET FRIDAY. PTAs statewide will be
flooding the phone and fax lines of Governor Schwarzenegger in
protest of the budget. The attached link *Flunk
Flyer* is a flyer with the phone and fax numbers along with a
short phone script. Get everyone you know to participate. This is a
simple way to voice your opposition to the proposed budget!
May 1st - Casimir Sadie Hawkins Dance 3:05pm - 4:30pm.
May 1st - 8th Grade Rock-N-Roll
Basketball Classic 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the North High Main Gym.
Come watch the 8th graders play against the Teachers in a game of
basketball. Don't forget the 6th and 7th grade shoot out. Win great
RAFFLE PRIZES, eat good food, listen to our awesome band, enjoy our
talented Cheer Leaders and just have some Rock-n-Roll fun!
Admission tickets will be on sale starting April 24th after school
from 3:00-3:30 for $4.00. Every admission ticket bought will also
receive a raffle ticket. Dress the part of Rock-n-Roll and receive
and additional raffle ticket. ***This is a charity event in honor
of our late student, John Vu who recently passed away from Muscular
Dystrophy. All proceeds will be donated to Muscular Dystrophy by
the graduating Class of 2008***

May 3rd-4th - Torrance Relay for Life at South High School begins
at 9:00am on Saturday morning and ends at 9:00 Sunday morning.
May 5th-9th - Teacher Appreciation Week - Please join us in showing
our appreciation to all of our awesome teachers at Casimir. Thank
you for all you do...You are all the Best!
May 6th - National Nurse Day, please join us in showing our
appreciation to our health assistants at Casimir. Thank you Miss
Veronica and Sonny!
May 14th and 15th - STAR Testing, please make sure your child
receives plenty of sleep and a good breakfast. For more info on
